Description:

Mining explosion-proof telephone is one of the first Polish models of special-purpose apparatus and it was used for communication in methane mines and other rooms with a high degree of explosion hazard. According to Polish standards at that time, it provided protection against an external electrical short circuit causing sparking and protection against foreign particles, dust, vapors and moisture.

Construction:

Two-section, massive iron body closed with two cast-iron covers from the front. In the upper part, there is a steel bell bowl with an aluminum cover. The telephone is equipped with two headphones – basic and receiver. Four mounting brackets, brass inlet sleeves for headphone wires, porcelain inlet collar for power and telephone cable.
