Explosion-proof electric switches were used in methane mines and other rooms with a high explosion hazard. According to the polish standards at that time, the switch’s construction provided protection against electric shock in the first degree, and high protection against the ingress of foreign bodies and moisture.

Construction:

Solid, two-section cast-iron case with two cast-iron covers mounted to the body with screws. The lower part is the connection of the electric circuit, while the upper part contains the mechanism of the switch. Wires supplied in a copper funnel sleeve installed on a brass cylinder. The possibility of two-point mounting to the wall or hanging on the hook.
